Everything leading up to this point was supposed to happen. Looking back at where I was mentally and physically for my fist Leadville 100, its pretty crazy. So many things have changed. Bikes, fitness, strategy, etc. One thing that hasn’t changed,,,, my hunger, my motivation, and my desire. I will eat the arms legs and necks off of my rivals. I am ready to be shipped away from the finish line in an ambulance, or in a hearse. It doesn’t matter. Just believe and know that when I cross the finish line after 103 miles ridden, and 12 thousand feet climbed, I will have turned myself inside out. Giving everything I have to the mountains, and taking everything they will allow, I will blaze through this course like a locomotive on fire.
This I promise.
